SPARKS Vidyalaya is an Innovative Special School and Multi-Therapy Centre supported by SPARKS Trust, The SPARKS Trust is a Registered Trust set up in 2013 by a group of parents having children with special needs, located in Anna Nagar, Madurai, that builds the skills and abilities of children with autism through academics, specialized therapies, life skills and integration. It is the only institution where all the therapies i.e. Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, ADL Skills, Academic Skills, Yoga & Music Therapy are given under one roof. It has provision for upto 50 students from 3 to 15 years of age. It has spacious rooms with pleasant and congenial atmosphere for each therapy. We believe that training specific to autism is essential in creating a solid and long-lasting foundation for individuals with Autism.
We have large outdoor space for Skating Program in a safe and supportive environment to improve balance and co-ordination. We have special area for horse riding (Hippotherapy) to improve their communication skills as well as their gross motor skills, which makes horseback riding one of the most beneficial activities for kids struggling with autism.
We have successfully developed and framed a unique curriculum that meets the complex needs and abilities of each student and is highly individualised, developmental and holistic. This provision is delivered in a safe, happy and stimulating environment. Our highly experienced staff deliver 1:1 teaching to all students throughout the school day. They follow a special training programme to ensure they have sound knowledge and understanding of both autism and the approaches, techniques and resources we use. Our long term goal is to integrate children with autism into their neighbourhood normal schools full-time.

Evening : Between 4.00pm and 8.00pm
The principal doctrine of the school is to support each person with autism to develop independence through a broad learning experience in an environment that offers warmth, security, consistency and understanding within a 24-hour curriculum. A purposeful and calm atmosphere is encouraged through the professional approach adopted by all staff. Trust and a positive rapport between the people with autism and the staff underpin the ethos of the school.
